Dear friends, I hope you enjoy this outfit idea I've created via Polyvore. Make sure and follow me there if you haven't already! For this outfit, I wanted to take a deep toned sweater, make it edgy by adding a pair of ripped jeans, and add a simple black bootie to finish off the look. What do YOU think?

I do apologize that I haven't been posting as frequently lately, school and work have been a bit crazy and if I can't put all of my time and effort into creating a post, I won't post at all. Know that I love you all very much, and look forward to lots of new posts in the near future.

My Fashion Favorites {February 2014}♥

Well friends, it's that time of the month again. And no, not that time. Today I am sharing with you my February Favorites. As always I would love to hear your thoughts so make sure and drop me a comment letting me know what you've been loving this month as well.

This first favorite is a chunky necklace I got from where I work. I love it because it's grey so it really goes with everything and makes any outfit have a little pop of sparkle.

I have been absolutely obsessed with these Madden Girl shoes this month. I find that Steve Madden has some of my favorite shoes in the world. It was shocking to find out that these are the most comfortable heals I own, despite them being so high. (Did the "All Day On Campus" test and it ended quite nicely!)

Despite what this picture looks like, these jeans are actually a light mint green color. They are by American Rag and I think they add a really cute pop of color. (Anyone else still loving the "Mint Green" trend from last summer? I simply can't get enough of it.)

For those who don't know me, you should probably know that I am one of the biggest rock music junkies in the world. I live and breathe it. One of my all time favorite bands is Def Leppard so when I found this jumper from Target, I just had to have it.

Strangely enough, I bought this infinity skull printed scarf at Walmart. I will try to avoid this store at all costs but I must admit, this is a great piece.

This last item is one that I bought on a whim the night I was going to see Bon Jovi live in concert. I found this right before we left to go there and wore it that night. I think it's really unique and although I don't find myself wearing it as much as I'd like, I really do love it.

I've Been Loving: Leopard Print♥

It's statement. It's edgy. It's rocker. It says "I'm not afraid to be bold." I must admit, It's only been recently I've really loved rocking different leopard printed items, due to the fact that I've seen it look so wrong on different people. The main key to rocking this print is to only were one or two pieces. That way it's not overpowering you or your outfit, but adding a unique touch instead. In today's post I'm going to show you some of my favorite items, where to buy them, as well as some ideas on how to wear. Ready?

{My Favorite's & Where To Buy}

Leopard Printed Oversize Scarf, Sole Society, $30.
Leopard Mid Rise Skinny, J Brand, $250.
Leopard Print Lace-Up Bootie, Charlotte Russe, $19.99.
Call Of The Wild Denim Jacket, Forever21, $16.99.
Leopard Print Negative Pencil Dress, Guess by Marciano, $198.

{Different Tips & Ways To Style}

If you want to make a statement with this print, try doing so like Kate Moss. (Just please don't show this much on top ladies, trust me when I say that you will get attention for all the wrong reasons...) Not only does she have this great jacket on with gold detail, but she goes even bolder by adding these cherry red leather pants. I don't know about you guys, but my inner rocker is screaming for me to try this look out.

If you just want a little bit of leopard print to add to an outfit, I would definitely recommend a belt. Like pictured above, tuck in your shirt for a cool and edgy twist.

Pictured above are three celebrities using it perfectly. I can't say this enough, less truly is more here. It not only makes your outfit more statement and eye catching, but also less busy and not too much or over the top.

So tell me my beautiful freaks...What do YOU think of Leopard Print? Do you find yourself reaching for it in your closet or are you not into it? As always make sure and let me know in the comment section below.

Styled Person Of Interest: Mick Jagger♥

Oh, how excited I am to be writing a feature on this rock icon. I've been listening to him (he's the lead singer of The Rolling Stones, for those here who are Bieber listeners...) since I was a wee lass. I love a lot about Mick, his personality, his sense of humor, and of course, his style. In today's post I am going to be featuring my all time favorite outfit's he's rocked over the years.

Compared to most famous rock stars, (Like Steven Tyler for example), Mick has, for the most part, had a very clean cut kind of look on his days off. He loves fitted cardigans and jackets, a good pair of jeans, and a simple pair of shoes.

This one of my favorite shirt's that he has worn. May sound strange, but I love the simplicity of it. Mick is definitely a very good definition of the famous quote "Less Is Better". Sometimes when you want to focus or get attention on one item of clothing, you must decrease the use of accessories and layering and such. It really depends on the look you're going for, though.

One of the things I love about Mick's style is the fact that he wears very eclectic and vogue looking outfits when he does photo shoots. He always seems to keep it interesting, like this outfit above. I would have never thought to pair such a crazy jacket with these striped pants. (Also the fact that he pulled off black and yellow without looking like a bumble bee is amazing in itself, no?)

These days you will find Mick dressing a little different - Usually a pair of comfortable shoes, black jeans, a tee-shirt, and printed jacket. Not too bad for the age of 70, now is it?

You can never end a post about a rock star without a picture of him/her in a leather jacket. It's definitely a signature piece in most of their wardrobes and always gives every outfit a little extra something, also making it appear edgier.

So tell me my beautiful freaks, what do YOU think of Mick's style? Also make sure and let me know who YOU would like to see featured on my next "Styled Person Of Interest" post. I'll make sure and add your name & blog link, if you may have one.

January Fashion Favorites♥

Hey there my beautiful freaks - As you may have noticed from the title of this post, I am now going to be posting monthly fashion favorites on my blog. This will range from a few to many items, depending on how many things I've been loving. Although this post is a bit late, I thought it best to start out with January Favorites. Make sure and leave me a comment on your thoughts!

I have been absolutely obsessed with this knitted raccoon sweater from Kohls recently. It's not only warm and cozy, but also looks great as a casual outfit by pairing a thick pair of leggings and riding boots to complete the look.

This edgy snake ring has been a favorite for about a year now. I got it from Claires (No judging, they have amazing jewelry people!), and I love to rock it with any rocker outfit. For some reason it gives me more confidence.

This next item is a grey and back leopard printed infinity scarf. I got it from a boutique around where I live and I just love it - Definitely adds a good print to any plain top that needs a little something.

These snake print leggings are something that I simply couldn't live without. They are very edgy and 80's rock inspired. I like to wear these with my pointed toe black booties from Forever21.

This last item isn't necessarily a very dressy or spectacular item - But a basic that I wear with a lot of outfits. It goes with everything which I love, not to mention that grey is one of my favorite colors to wear.

Six Winter & Spring Outfit Ideas♥

Due to the amazing response from my fall and winter edition of this (link will be at the bottom), I decided to create a winter and spring version. I am so excited to show you six outfit ideas today - Straight from my closet! Hopefully this will give you some fashion inspiration for your wardrobes.

Outfit 1
-Wild Child -

(Sorry for the blurry picture, kids.) Here I've stuck with one major print. To tone it down I added a pair of jeans and these rocker booties from Forever21. Since this top is sheer in some areas, I would rock an under shirt with it. Add any cardigan or jacket if you wish.

Outfit 2
- Skull Candy -

This outfit is somewhat 80's inspired. You've got skulls, an edgy necklace, as well as these grey booties. (Anyone remember Jon Bon Jovi wearing these? Yeah?) This is definitely a more casual look that you'd see me wearing on campus during the spring.

Outfit 3
-Sailor-

This outfit is nice because it is both dressy, as well as casual. You could either wear this to work, coffee with friends, or even a casual date.

Outfit 4
-Casual Cutie-

This is an outfit I will rarely wear. It is very, very casual, but is definitely nice when you have to run a quick errand or something along those lines. I usually end up wearing this grey Hollister top with a pair of leggings and a neon pair of converse styled shoes, for an extra pop of color.

Outfit 4
-Classy & Fabulous-

A good sweater is always a good thing to have in ones closet during the more chilly weather. I am really loving this mint green one from J Crew and have been rocking it a lot lately. I usually try to pair this with a statement necklace, like the one above from Rue 21. I love wearing normal or black jeans and adding these booties to complete the look.

Outfit 6
-Paint It Black-

This last outfit is definitely my favorite out of the bunch to wear. I always feel so confident and edgy in it. I usually start with this top and pair it with a leather jacket, these black and white striped jeans, and either black booties or these Guess pumps (Depending on how dressy or casual I need to be). I love gold accents with outfits like this, so I usually end up rocking this black and gold cross body and gold bangles.

Styled Person Of Interest: Avril Lavigne♥

Hello my beautiful freaks, for those who are new here, these "Styled Person Of Interest" posts consist of someone (usually famous) that I spotlight, showcasing my favorite outfits they've rocked over the years. Hopefully this edition on Avril Lavigne will give you all some fashion inspiration, and as always, make sure and let me know what YOU think about her style.

If I had to describe Avril's style in two words it would without a doubt be punk rock. We're talkin' about mixing prints and patterns, neons and blacks mixed together, as well as some major rocker chic pieces.

In her outfits, Lavigne usually involves at least one piece that has some sort of eye catching pattern, such as the red plaid knee boots above.

On her days off, you will usually find her rocking ripped jeans, a band tee, and combat boots. Edgy, unique, and without a doubt well put together.

I love this outfit above. To me, it pretty much sums up "Punk Rock" in a picture. You have your crazy colored pants and skull top. So different, yet it really works.

A leather jacket is a necessity in any rocker's closet. I love how above, she adds a simple printed tee with ripped jeans and a pair of black studded pumps. It has a very 80's vibe to it. Another pro to this outfit is the fact that it's dressy, but also still has that edgy vibe.

Rock-It Edit: Spring Edition (Featuring Abbi Jordan)

Mak: Hey hey rockers - Firstly on behalf of me and Abbi we'd like to apologize about not posting last months edit. December was an insane month for the both of us, so we decided to let it go instead of giving you a lame post. Haha. Anyways this month we've decided to do a "Spring Inspired" Rock-It Edit, since the warmer weather is indeed coming up. Are we ready?

For my portion of this post I decided to add one an outfit that is both edgy and spring like. When doing my research I stumbled upon Elma's blog and instantly fell in love with it. This outfit in particular is wonderful because it takes amazing and edgy pieces such as these black and white striped pants and black booties and adds a pop of spring-like color with this yellow cardigan.

Make sure and check out Elma's blog at: http://www.reinadelamoda.nl/

Suggested Spring Rocker Fashion Items:
-H&M's Spring 2014 Collection (PS, You can find the pants that Elma is wearing above there!)
-Forever21

Abbi: I love Mak's choice. Since January seems to want to drag on forever, I was stoked when we decided to do a spring themed edit. Dare I say it? I'm a little bored with my dark colors.

I had a little trouble coming up with ideas for my half though. How do you channel rocker chic anything in springtime? So I fell back on my most favorite outfit combo of all time:

Yes, very inspiring I know, a plain white shirt and jeans can be a little blah, but not if you pair it with neat little extras.

Like awesome shoes! I am obsessing over nude (and spiked!!) flats right now.

These from Valentino, are my dream pair :

But these, more affordable ones, from American Eagle are really sweet.

Let your hair do its natural thing and add a few delicate pieces like  small bracelets or a tiny necklace and Bazinga!

Awesome timelessness with a small kick.

:)

Now we want to hear from YOU. What rocker look are you digging this spring?

10 Style Basics You Should Own (Women's Edition)

Hello my squishy mushrooms, I guess this year I really want to invest in some basics and got to thinking - What fashion basics should men and women truly own? In this post I answer this question so make sure and subscribe because the men's edition is coming up very soon. I've realized that the main thing that people should splurge on is indeed the basics, so if your going to go a little crazy shopping, try to do it on these 10 things:

1. A White V-Neck Tee
This is a great staple piece because there are endless options on how to style it. Try crazy necklaces, any sweater or jacket, scarves, etc. It's also great for layering.

2. A Good Quality Pair Of Jeans.

When I was younger I would buy any brand of jeans I saw. Now I realize that finding a good quality pair is important, even if you have to splurge on them a bit.

3. A Pair Of Black Pumps

It's easy to buy shoes, especially heals, but ladies make sure you realize that when investing black pumps you have to make sure they are good quality as well as comfortable. Or else what's truly the point? Five minutes into wearing those suckers and you may have blisters, or worse.

4. A Pair Of Flats.

Pick your poison, whether that be flats, toms, boat shoes, whatever. As long as they aren't horrific and feel comfortable, that's all you'll need here.

5. Black Leggings.

This is something that I used to not care about, I bought any brand and it turned out awfully because they were terrible material and cheap. I can now honestly say that I have a higher quality pair that I love, and would definitely recommend that you do the same - You won't regret it!

6. A Black Purse/Bag.

Although it's fun to buy crazy printed bags, it's also a good idea to own a basic black one. It goes with everything and is a good staple item in ones closet. I own one and it's definitely something I use often.

7. A Pea Coat.

Pea coats go with every clothing item you choose to wear as well as protect you against the chillier weather that you may face. The only "Rule" for purchasing one of these is to choose a color/pattern that will go with the things that you would wear under it. For example I own a black one.

8. The Little Black Dress.

There's something so classy about this piece...I think the elegance and beauty comes from the timeless "Little Black Dress" look from Audrey Hepburn. This dress has been a classic and it fabulous for many reasons, including the fact that it's simplicity allows for accessorizing, and that there are so many options on which to buy. Which basically means: Be picky! Choose one that is flattering to your body type and is sexy yet classy at the same time.

9. Camisoles.

I can't imagine my life without these things. I've bought so many over the years and every time a shirt is too see through, short, etc, I am so thankful. Definitely worth buying! I especially recommend buying natural colors such as nude, white, & black.

10. A Pair Of Dress Pants.

I'm just going to be honest here, I absolutely hate dress pants. I think that they are uncomfortable, stiff looking, and too "Put Together" looking. BUT I do believe that you should have them in your wardrobe, because you never know if you may get that interview girl. You'll thank me later!
